A king buys some beautiful red fabric for the royal seamstress to make a cloak for the princess. He tells her to leave the scraps of material on the back porch to never imagining how it will be recycled again and again. Jenny the kitchen maid finds the scraps, “Ohhh… That cloth is so red and soft and Christmassy!” and makes a jacket for her ma. The phrase is repeated as others find the red cloth. A badger makes a hat for his pa, a squirrel makes gloves for his wife and a mouse makes a scarf for her son with the last scrap of fabric.
