In a battle of the authors, Chester changes Melanie Watt’s book to make himself the star. He starts by crossing out the original book dedication with a red pen. He writes, pretending to be Watt, that Chester is “the smartest, most handsome cat in the world” and she couldn’t have completed the book without him. Chester continues to alter Watt’s story, removing the mouse as the main character and making himself the main attraction. He adds and crosses out text and changes illustrations to make him look charming, smart and talented. Watt and Mouse fight back but it is yet to be seen who wins as there are currently two sequels to this book.
