Picture Books & Resources
Many children struggle with a lack of confidence. This may stem from doubt, identity, fitting in, disapproval and struggling to stand up for themselves. Sometimes children have outward signs of confidence but suffer from low self-esteem. Confident children are more likely to believe in their academic ability, take risks and make positive decisions. Picture books are a wonderful tool to encourage and foster confidence. Discuss characters who use confidence to stand their own ground and take appropriate risks.
These resources relate to the book, author and illustrator. The number of resources varies subject to subject. Please check they are appropriate for your specific needs before using them with children. If you have any suggestions please get in touch!
