Picture Books & Resources
Exposure to diverse books helps children celebrate differences in the world. They open children’s minds to ethnic diversity, family structures, disabilities and how people identify. Diverse books teach about tolerance, good values, cultural traditions, as well as discrimination. We all want our children to face discrimination with confidence and tolerance, whether to themselves or others. This is easier said than done. The books below are a great tool for starting a dialogue on tolerance, discrimination and the actions we can take.
