This is Not My Hat by Jon Klassen
This is Not My Hat by Jon Klassen is a funny picture book that promotes honesty, integrity and responsible decision-making.
A small fish wearing a perfectly fitting hat admits he stole it from a big fish. “This hat is not mine. I just stole it from a big fish… I know it’s wrong to steal a hat. I know it does not belong to me. But I am going to keep it.” The fish carries on its journey, sure it will get away with the crime, unaware that the big fish is searching for his hat. The last we hear of the little fish is him swimming into the reeds with the big fish following behind.
