Picture Books & Resources
Encourage compassion by modelling appropriate behaviour by helping people in need and being sensitive to the feelings of others. Children will also learn from adults behaviour, vocabulary and body language around other people. Discussing consequences of negative behaviour supports a child’s understanding of how their action affects others. Reinforce a compassionate attitude by reading the books below that promote sensitive behaviour.
