Bethan Woollvin follows Little Red Riding Hood with an updated version of Rapunzel. Rapunzel, trapped by a witch, lives in a tall tower only accessible by her long hair. The witch cuts this hair to sell and threatens to curse Rapunzel if she ever escapes. Unafraid, she fashions her hair into a ladder and escapes.
Once in the forest she thinks how she can defeat the witch. With her new friend, a horse, she works on her plan before returning to the tower. When the witch returns she uses the golden flowing locks to leave through the window. Rapunzel quickly cuts off her own hair and the witch falls to her demise. “The witch’s cursing days were done.” Free, she and the horse start a new life as witch hunters. “And were the other witches frightened? Oh yes, indeed!”
