Work with Me
Hi, I’m Kirsten.
Children’s Library Lady reaches educators around the world, and I’m always looking for outstanding picture books and helpful resources to share with them.
If you are considering getting in touch about working together, this page will help you see whether your inquiry is a good fit.
What I’m open to
I’m happy to hear from:
- publishers and publicists with picture books for consideration
- educators or organizations interested in collaborations
- people with opportunities that align with children’s literature, literacy, and inclusive book recommendations
My approach to books
I do not review books in a traditional review format.
Instead, I highlight books that may be useful to educators, teachers, librarians, and others who work with children. I want to help readers discover strong titles that fit this site’s themes and needs, rather than position myself as the final word on whether a book is “good” or “bad.”
This is why I only feature books that feel like a strong fit for Children’s Library Lady.
For publishers and publicists
I welcome inquiries about traditionally published picture books that align with the focus of this site.
I am especially interested in picture books that:
- help children see themselves and others reflected
- include diverse cultures, traditions, and family structures
- support positive character traits, attitudes, and behaviours
- connect naturally with literacy learning and classroom conversations
Please note:
- I cannot guarantee that every book sent will be featured
- it may take time for suitable books to appear on the site
- any extra copies may be donated
- I clearly disclose when books have been sent by publishers
Non-fiction
I am open to narrative non-fiction and would love to consider more of it when it aligns with the site.
What I’m not able to accept
At this time, I do not accept:
- self-published books
- guest blogging requests
- link placement or link exchange requests
Before you get in touch
Please make sure your inquiry is a strong fit for the site before reaching out.
It helps to include:
- the book title or project name
- the intended age range
- why it fits Children’s Library Lady
- any relevant timing or launch details
